        中美物流研究院是国家首批招收物流工程专业硕士学位办学点。国家于1997年设置工程硕士专业学位，2010年设置工程管理硕士专业学位。 为适应我国经济社会发展对高层次工程管理人才的迫切需要，完善专门人才培养体系，创新物流工程管理人才培养模式，提高物流工程管理人才培养质量，2019年国务院学位办将物流工程并入工程管理专业，作为其四大专业领域之一，并更名为物流工程与管理。我院自2020年起，我院招收物流工程与管理全日制硕士研究生（代码125604）。

        上海交通大学中美物流研究院是上海交通大学与美国佐治亚理工学院联合于2005年成立，得到国家发改委、交通运输部、上海市人民政府、香港董氏慈善基金会、美国商务部、美国佐治亚州政府等的共同支持，并由上海交通大学安泰经济与管理学院、机械与动力工程学院、软件学院、船舶海洋与建筑工程学院共建。研究院是我校物流及工程系统管理领域的科学研究、人才培养及社会服务平台，具有重要的国际与国内影响力。

The Sino-US Global Logistics Institute (“SUGLI”) is one of the first institutes of setting the master degree of logistics engineering. The master degree of Master of Engineering was set up in 1997, and the master degree of engineering management was set up in 2010. In order to meet the needs of cultivating students in the fields of engineering management and logistics engineering,  the degree of logistics engineering is merged with engineering management and renamed by logistics engineering and management (code 125604).

SUGLI was jointly established by Shanghai Jiao tong University and Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005, supported by National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, Shanghai Municipal People's Government, United States Department of Commerce, Georgia State Government of United States, and by the Antai College of Economics and Management, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Software, and School of Civil Engineering. SUGLI is a university level platform for scientific research, cultivation and social service platform in the field of logistics and engineering management, and has important international and domestic impacts.

三、培养目标 Program Objective

        面向现代物流与供应链工程管理领域，培养掌握马克思主义基本原理和中国特色社会主义理论体系，具备良好的政治素质和职业道德，掌握系统完备的现代工程管理理论与方法和物流与供应链工程领域的专业技术和知识，能独立担负物流与供应链、制造与服务领域的重大、复杂工程的决策与管理工作，具有卓越领导力和宽广的国际视野的复合型高端物流与供应链工程管理人才，以适应我国新时期产业转型升级对物流与供应链产业发展的新需求。

        The objective is to cultivate students to have high professional ethics and political views guided by the basic principles of Marxism and the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Students will have excellent leadership, international view, and master the systematic modern engineering management theories and methods, and can independently undertake the logistics and supply chain, manufacturing and service, decision and management for complex engineering project.

四、培养方式及学习年限 Training Mode and Study Duration

        全日制专业学位硕士研究生学制为2.5年，未能按时完成学业者，经申请批准后其学习年限可适当延长，最长可以延期至3.5年。

        The cultivation cycle time is 2.5 years, and can be up to 3.5 years under approval.

五、课程学习要求 Course Requirement

        须修读完成不少于32学分，其中GPA学分不少于19学分，GPA不低于2.7。

        The total credits will be not less than 32, and at least 19 GPA credits. GPA is at least 2.7.

六、培养过程要求 Training Requirement

        硕士生开题报告在第二学年第一学期进行，中期检查在第二学年第二学期进行。具体按照学院制定的相关要求执行。

        专业实践在第二学年进行。专业实践的形式为：鼓励结合导师横向课题，进入企业进行研究实践。或者到与本专业相关的企业实习基地开展实习。实践成果能够反映工程类硕士专业学位研究生在工程能力和工程素养方面取得的成效。由导师和企业进行综合考核。

        The thesis proposal will be given in the third semester, and middle review in the fourth semester. The qualification standard will be subjective to school requirements.

        Practice training will be given in the second academic year. The candidate projects for practice training include industrial projects and practical studies for academic project.  The students are encouraged to join the practical projects of the supervisors.

七、学术成果要求 Requirement on Academic Achievements

          按照学院制定的相关要求执行。

八、学位论文 Thesis/dissertation work

        在第五学期进行学位论文答辩。硕士学位论文撰写格式按照《上海交通大学博士、硕士学位论文撰写指南》，学位论文答辩与学位申请按照《上海交通大学关于申请授予硕士专业学位的规定》执行。

        The academic thesis should be defended in the fifth semester. The thesis has to be written in accordance to “Requirements of Doctoral, Master Degree Thesis Writing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University”. Defense of the thesis and application of the master degree have to be processed under “Rules for Application of A Master Degrees of Shanghai Jiao Tong University”.
