学科简介
物流工程研究物流系统的规划设计与资源优化配置、物流运作过程的计划与控制以及物流企业经营管理。物流工程在指导和促进物流业发展中发挥着极其重要的作用。物流工程是管理与技术的交叉学科，它与交通运输工程、管理科学与工程、工业工程、计算机技术、机械工程、环境工程等领域密切相关。

1. Introduction to the Subject
Logistics engineering studies planning, design and optimization of resource deployment for logistics systems, planning and control for logistics operational processes, as well as operations management for logistics companies. Logistics engineering plays an extremely important role in guiding and promoting the development of the logistics industry. Furthermore, it is an interdiscipline of management and technology. It is closely related to transportation engineering, management science and engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, etc.

培养目标
学位获得者应具备坚实的物流工程基础理论和宽广的专业知识，掌握并能熟练运用管理科学、交通运输、数学/统计学、计算机/信息等学科的理论、技能和方法，能够敏锐地发现物流管理实践中不断出现的新问题，拥有严密的逻辑思维能力和较强的理论创新能力，同时应掌握物流系统规划设计与评价以及物流管理的先进技术与方法，具有独立担负物流和运作管理工作的能力，具有团队合作能力，具有良好的职业道德，热爱祖国，积极为社会主义现代化建设服务。

2. Educational Goals
Graduates are expected to have a solid basic theoretical knowledge on logistics engineering as well as broad professional knowledge. They will be able to grasp and skillfully apply related theories, know-how and methods on management sciences transportation, mathematics/statistics, computer/information. They will be able to keenly identify the latest trends and new problems in practical logistics management. The program fosters strict logical thought and innovative theoretical abilities, while it also highlights systematic planning and evaluation as well as related advanced management techniques. Taking responsibility for logistics and operations management is an important virtue of the program’s graduates, as well as team spirit, high morals, patriotism and the willingness to meaningfully contribute to the modernization of socialism.

三、学习年限
全日制专业学位硕士研究生学制为二年半；总学分≥32，其中学位课学分≥19。

3. Time Limit of Study
The full-time master program is limited to two and a half years, including at least 32 credit points, of which 19 are obligatory courses.

按照学院制定的相关要求执行。

八、学位论文要求
在第五学期进行学位论文答辩。硕士学位论文撰写格式按照《上海交通大学博士、硕士学位论文撰写指南》，学位论文答辩与学位申请按照《上海交通大学关于申请授予硕士专业学位的规定》执行。

8. Requirements for an academic thesis
The academic thesis should be defended in the fifth semester. The thesis has to be written in accordance to “Requirements of Doctoral, Master Degree Thesis Writing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University”. Defence of the thesis and application of the master degree have to be handled according to “Rules for Application of A Master Degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University”.
